Mr. Theophile Komaclo
Director: North America
AIR AFRIQUE

October 15, 1999
Dear Mr. Komaclo,
I am forwarding a copy of this letter to David Lazik since he is familiar with this issue. It relates
to the matter of an outstanding ticket that is owed to me by Air Afrique. I brought this up in a
letter dated August 11, 1999 which I gave to you during your promotional trip to Montreal at
about that time.
I would like to book reservations to depart from New York City to Accra on December 19,
1999, Sunday, on Air Afrique RK510, departing JFK at 22:00 hours - and arriving in Accra
at 17:25 hrs on Monday December 20.
The return booking is for Thursday, January 13, 2000 on Air Afrique RK543, departing
Accra at 09:20 hours and connecting in Dakar on Air Afrique Flight RK541 to New York.
My records indicate that I am still owed one Air Afrique ticket to West Africa. This ticket
predates the exchange of tickets I received in December 1996. Those tickets were in exchange
for the replacement of the photo slides that were lost. As you know, I used those tickets to
execute our plan for the successful production of the Benin video. The ticket still owed to me
was to be an exchange of trade for an original set of 80 images from Mali that I supplied to your
office before the entire slide files were lost. This outstanding ticket would be most useful to me
now in my current plans to go to Ghana in late December of this year. My return will not be until
the middle of January since I will spend Christmas and the Millennium in Ghana.
I would like to review our relationship over the past 5 years.

...2/ Mr. Komaclo
This concludes my synopsis of our relationship to date. I have not traveled on Air Afrique since
April 1997, although I have attended the ATA Congresses in Tanzania in 1998 and in Ghana in
1999. On both of these occasions I purchased tickets at full fare from airlines serving those
events. I have also been a guest of SATOUR in 1997 and 1999, flying on SAA.
Over the past 5 years I have had 53 stories published about Africa in 12 different magazines. Air
Afrique is mentioned in 16 of them.
I hope this clarifies our prior agreement and that I can have this ticket issued as soon as possible.
Thank you - and I look forward to seeing you soon. I hope we shall have the opportunity to
discuss future projects.
Sincerely,
Bob Burch
